Mistress Tokyo, the Consent Consultant, presents her new workshop on consent & her consent training model Mindful Consent. We will define & describe consent, talk through what it looks like & doesn’t look like, & unpack how to negotiate it in a BDSM context. We will also talk red flags & harm minimisation strategies.

Mistress Tokyo is a Dominatrix of 24yrs, based in Sydney. She is a queer, cisgender woman, her pronouns she/her/hers. She is also a BDSM educator, aerial performer &
undergraduate student of Psychology & Counselling. She recently started a new venture as The Consent Consultant, with her own consent training model, “Mindful Consent” - consent education synthesised from sex work & her study of psychology.

Many of us have trouble dropping into our bodies and finding flow. In erotic contexts, this can translate to nervousness, awkward movements and difficulty connecting. This workshop will be a guided movement practise, waking up your body to receive the pleasures of the festival!

By exploring kink & BDSM from this perspective, it can lead to expansion & transformation through pleasure, connection, trust, healing & the ability to navigate the intensity of existence. Amber has been sharing her insights & teachings over the last 5 years with couples & singles as well as in workshops & temple nights. Through this work she hopes that more people can experience the transformation & ecstasy that is possible when playing with these realms with love & awareness.

In this class students will embark on the adventure of a lifetime exploring full body bondage! Suitable for all purposes, we’ll be exploring the waters using the fisher’s basket torso harness & mercreature leg binders.

Von Riga began his journey in shibari / kinbaku (Japanese rope bondage) under renowned rope master Scott Haruteru in 2014. Since then he has sought tutelage from a wide variety of teachers, both local & international, synthesising the accumulated techniques, perspectives & philosophies on rope into his own unique style. As a founding curator of Shibari Lounge, a monthly rope performance night held in Melbourne (with 47+ events & now in it’s 5th year), he regularly performs live - from underground clubs to festival stages, besides sharing his deep passion for rope teaching. With the rigour of traditional Japanese rope dojo training as a base, informed by a wider interest in conscious kink & tantric arts, Von Riga‘s practice emphasises technical skill & proficiency balanced with beautiful aesthetic simplicity, where presence, intuitive play & connection with one’s tying partner is paramount. Devoted to excellence in rope education & remaining true to the Japanese origins of the practice, Soul Rope Studios was born in 2022, a culmination of a decade long journey in rope.
