Quite often, needles strike fear into the hearts of many, but what if we could turn that fear into reverence? What if needles were a method of journeying deeper into the body, via the flesh? In this workshop we will explore kink from the perspective of bloodletting and catharsis, specifically using needles.
You will learn about safe skin penetration practises and handling of sharps. There will be a needle demonstration and an opportunity for participants to put their learning into practice, in a guided, safe environment. This is ideal for beginners or needle players who just want a refresher and good company.
THE BLOODY FAE
The Bloody Fae spends most of her time adorning people’s flesh, wiping up their blood and holding their stories. With a background of 4 years of professional body piercing and 11 years of professional tattooing, she has witnessed the potency of humans deep in their rites of passage. These hours of silent observation help inform her utmost reverence for the art of needle play, flesh hook suspension and the history of body modification in all its forms. Shedding her professional wings and playing as a switch, she enjoys empowering people to explore these ancient practises, with modern tools - in a safe way.
