Drawing upon elements of kink and tantric practice with the rigour of Shibari dojo training as a base, the themes of Von Riga’s Kinbaku are passion, provocation, poetry. Being present to each moment, intuitive in one’s choice of what to tie, and deeply connected to one ’s tying partner is key. Thereafter, simply to tie, tie, tie, allow these themes to find fullest expression.
From underground clubs to festival stages, Von Riga can be found curating, teaching and performing rope across the country. Founded in 2022, his school Soul Rope Studios hosts classes at all levels weekly in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).
